Todd F. had a couple questions about our superior synthetic turf. We were going to email him as we occasionally do, but we concluded that sharing is caring, so here’s the answers (and some other shared advice) that may help you - our customers and friends. Here are Todd’s questions:
1) A big section of my lawn is under full sun for several hours a day in the summer (I live in sunny Southern California). Your products have a 5-year warranty against fading. What is the fade rate? How long can I expect it to look good before I'd need to replace it? 2) I have a greenbelt on the opposite side of the sidewalk in front of my house with a large tree in the middle of it that "rounds" the grass around it. That is, it makes a big bump in the landscape. All of you images show the product creating a flat lawn. Does the turf conform well to non-flat surfaces? Actually Todd, there are only a limited number of our artificial grasses have a 5 year no fade warranty. Most of our turf comes with a 10 year no fade warranty. Since each blade is constructed with UV protection, fading over the long term is minimal - even in sunny Southern California. The average SYNLawn grass installation is expected to last 15 years. As for SYNLawn’s conformity to the landscape, it depends on if you’re talking about an anthill or an inverted crater - each situation is different. Due to the lack of sand or rubber infill in our artificial turf designs, the grass is ideal for sloped terrain. In speaking with satisfied customers, they pass on interesting suggestions. Here’s one from Brian D: When areas of his turf lay flat, he uses an elevated vacuum to straighten the blades. While Brian uses his vacuum, another method is a light raking with a plastic rake. Hopefully some, if not all, of this information will be helpful for you. Please continue to leave us comments and peruse the archives for more useful information from SYNLawn.
