Now is the perfect time to replace your natural grass landscape with artificial grass in Nevada. As of the first of this year, the Southern Nevada Water Authority has enhanced it's Water Smart Landscapes (WSL) Rebate Program to allow for even bigger rebates for residents. This is good news for homeowners and businesses converting to artificial grass, especially those with larger lawn areas. The most significant change in the rebate program for 2008 is removal of the 1,500 square foot limit. This year, no matter how large your lawn, every inch of converted natural grass will qualify towards a $1.50 per square foot rebate. Quite simply, the more natural grass you replace with artificial grass the more money you will get back.
In an effort to save water, the Los Angeles Metropolitan Water District (MWD) has approved a measure to give homeowners in drought-plagued Southern California a rebate for using synthetic turf.
